Chitrashi Rawat, Indian ActressChitrashi Rawat is an Indian hockey player turned movie actress and television presenter. She started playing hockey as a left-striker at the age of 17 for Uttarakhand state of India. She made her debut in the glamour industry with the film Chak De India in 2007.

Early Life of Chitrashi Rawat
She was born on 29th November 1989 to Tirath Singh Rawat and Yashoda Rawat in the Uttarakhand state of India. She is a former student of the Guru Nanak Academy. Presently, she is pursuing her bachelor`s degree in mass media from St Andrew FYBMM.

Career of Chitrashi Rawat
An admirer of Hockey, Chitrashi kick started playing this game at the age of 17. She began playing as left striker for Uttarakhand state in India. She regularly represented the Uttarakhand hockey team in the national championships. Her career took a turn when she was picked for the role of a hockey player in the blockbuster movie Chak De! India. She was zeroed in for the role by the producers after an audition in Jabalpur. The film which was made on a budget of INR240 million went on to earn worldwide gross revenue of INR1056.5 million and Chitrashi shot to fame.

Her next venture was Madhur Bhandarkar directed movie Fashion in 2008. The film featured her in the role of Shomu. The film was a success at the box office and it also managed to succeed in receiving critical acclaim.

Her major break came in 2009 when she was chosen to play one of the key roles in the action film, Luck opposite well-known actors like Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan, Shruti Hassan, Mithun Chakraborty, Ravi Kishan and many others. The film gave her ample opportunity to prove her mettle as an actor. However, Luck received critical acclaim, but did average business at the box office. She was last seen in movies like Yeh Dooriyan (2011) and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012).

Apart from this, Chitrashi has campaigned for Minute Maid pulpy orange, along with co-stars Vidya Malvade and Sagarika Ghatge. She was a contestant in a Comedy Circus 2 of Optimystix. She was also a participant in the television programmer Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, Indian remake of I`m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Currently, she is hosting Star Gold`s Sabse Favourite Kaun.
