Chaudhary Charan Singh University , Meerut, Uttar PradeshLocated in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary Charan Singh University is also known as the Meerut University. It was established in 1966 and is a state administered University to cater to the higher education of the University. The University is named after Chaudhary Charan Singh the Prime Minister of India. It offers postgraduate education in the disciplines in agriculture, arts, education, science and management. The various faculties under the University are Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine.

Spread over an area of 219 acres, the University campus houses vast playgrounds and experimental fields, botanical garden, statue of the late Prime Minister Ch.Charan Singh, gymnasium, indoor stadium, well equipped library, administrative block, spacious auditorium, guest house, community centre and medical center. The various departments under different faculties are carried on in spacious buildings and researches are conducted in laboratories with ultra modern technological amenities.

Other than postgraduate courses, there are several research programmes under various departments of the University. Advanced diploma and certificate courses in languages such as Russian, French, German and Sanskrit are also conducted in the university.
