Lucknow
Lucknow, the "City of Nawabs", is the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most populous states of India. Srinagar
Srinagar is known as the "heaven on earth" and serves as the summer capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar is famous for its Mughal gardens, waterfronts and houseboats of Dal Lake. Jammu
Jammu borders Kashmir to the north, Ladakh to the east, Himachal Pradesh to the south and Pakistan-administered Kashmir to the west and for this it is the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Shimla
Shimla is known as the "Queen of Hill Stations". Before the Independence of India, Shimla was the summer capital of India. It is located in the north-west Himalayan Mountain Range and now the capital of Himachal Pradesh. It is the popular hilly capital city, populous with hill resorts, forest sides and the winding main street. The cynosure of Shimla is the Scandal Point. From here, the flat open area known as the Ridge stretches east to Christ Church. From mid-July to mid-September, Shimla is frequently wreathed in cloud, and in winter it often gets a carpeting of snow.
