Cantalihika Cuvamikal was a renowned Tamil poet and author who lived during the eighteenth century in the Tamil country. He belonged to the Vira Shaiva sect of Hinduism.

Cantalihika Cuvamikal, also known as Chanthalihikka Chuvamikkal, was well known poet and author in Tamil literature. The poet lived during the eighteenth century in the Tamil country, now known as Tamil Nadu. Cantalihika Cuvamikal established a mutt (a religious institution for pilgrims) at the region of Tirupporur, which is located a few miles towards the southern direction of the city of Madras (now known as Chennai).

Cantalihika Cuvamikal or Chanthalihikka Chuvamikkal was a hermit, known as Sanyasin in Tamil, who belonged to the Vira Shaiva sect of Hinduism. The renowned Tamil poet composed a number of interesting and fascinating poetic works of religious nature. These works include Nencuvitututu, Kolaimaruttal, Avirota Untiyar, Vairakkiya Tipam and Vairakkiya Catakam.

Citampara Cuvamikal, disciple and successor of Cantalihika Cuvamikal also wrote many literary works that are rather important in Tamil literature. Among the works composed by him, the poetic work of Tirupporur Cannitimurai comprises of some mesmerizing and soul stirring devotional poems.
