Calcutta Football League is an oldest football tournament in Asia. It belongs to the people of Kolkata, who love to play football. Kolkata is a place, where football was much more stressed than cricket in colonial era. Calcutta Football League is popular only in Kolkata, West Bengal. Before independence, Calcutta Football League was popular, but due to the lack of infrastructure, it does not help the players to improve in world class football tournaments.

Calcutta Football League (CFL) is the football league system where several football clubs of Kolkata (Calcutta) participate. Some of the teams are Tollygaunge Agragami, Kingfisher East Bengal Athletic Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club and Mohun Bagan Athletic Club. It currently consists of seven-tier pyramid system.

With the season starting 2015, the clubs were redistributed in to these six divisions: Premier Division, Premier Division A, First Division, Second Division, Third Division, Fourth Division and Fifth Division.

Calcutta Football League has usually in each division. It is the 10-team league that plays a single leg, in which all teams played against each other. Then in the second leg, the leagues are divided into a top and bottom half.
