Cag ShieldCag Shield is a prominent sports event which is organized by Communication Arts Guild, Mumbai, annually. The year 1980 marked the beginning of this tournament which comprised three C`s namely Cricket, Chess and Carrom. However Cricket became the only sport among them which gained popularity among all agencies and successfully retained its existence in the ongoing trend. Cag Shield was launched mainly aiming at uniting the advertising and media fraternity comprising various agencies, their teams and their employees through sports. Thus the event shared an intimate connection with the individual designers for the seminars, workshops and award if conferred.

Initially Cag Shield was participated by Sista`s, ASP, Grant Advertising, JWT and O&M (then Benson). Gradually the event gained huge popularity and officially registered with the Mumbai Cricket Association. In the year 2007, the re-branding initiative of Cag Shield was undertaken by Vyas Giannetti Creative Sports. For this a pre tournament blitz was created which encompassed the launch of the book titled A Different Pitch. The book narrated the journey and evolution of Cag Shield through years. The book also contained testimonials from associated admen such as Madhukar Kamath and Piyush Pandey along with the cricket players like Kapil Dev and Harsha Bhogle. The foreword for the book was also authored by Kapil Dev.
