Yana is vivacious, sensuous and at present one of the hottest "item" girls in Bollywood. Yana Gupta, originally known as Yana Synkova was born at Brno in Czechoslovakia, which is now known as the Czech Republic. She made her debut on the ramp in the mid-1990s and was known all over to set the ramp on fire. The major turning point of her career when she directed her attention toward the east and tied the knot with an Indian painter named Satyakam Gupta. She however later divorced him.

Yana Gupta (real name Jana Synkova) was born on April 23, 1979 in Brno, Czech Republic. She started her modelling career at the age of 16, and after graduating in Park Architecture and Gardening, she left for Japan, where she modeled for sometime but her restless spirit then took her to India, where she spent her initial years at the Osho"s Meditation centre in Pune. It was in India that she also got married (changing her last name to Gupta).
Career of Yana Gupta
In 2001 she entered the Indian modeling scene and became the brand ambassador of the largest Indian cosmetic brand Lakme. In 2003 she made her entry into Bollywood with an item number "Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo" in film Dum. The song became a hit and instantly made Gupta into one of the most sought after Bollywood actresses. She also appeared in an Item song in Venkatesh`s "Gharshana". In 2009 Yana turned writer, by writing a book on health "How To Love Your Body And Get The Body You Love.†She began modeling during the nineties. Yana also worked as a model for several branded companies like Calvin Klein, Victoria"s Secret and Toyota.
Personal Life of Yana Gupta
Yana got married to Indian artist Satyakam Gupta in Pune and changed her last name from Synkova to Gupta. She divorced Gupta in 2005. In 2008 she altered her given name to Yaana. Later she had also dated actor Aftab Shivdasani. Not many knew that the duo had been dating for quite some time as it was a very low-key affair.
