Urmila Matondkar`s Film Career
Urmila Matondkar Urmila`s entry into Hindi films as an "adult actress" happened with the film Narasimha opposite Sunny Deol. It was then quite easy getting offers and hence she was paired opposite today`s superstar Shahrukh Khan in a movie which was everything but realistic. The movie was named "Chamatkar" which was more imaginative. The roles in these movies were not very ambitious and did not promise much fame and exposure. She then collaborated with Ram Gopal Verma who was charmed by her appeal and beauty. This landed her roles in movies that helped her give a fillip to her almost non-existent film career. Not only she acted in hardcore glamorized roles but she was seen proving her worth as a more serious actress with an absolutely de-glamorized role in Satya, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, Kaun which was a thriller of the psychological kinds and the Bhoot a horror movie she has also been spotted in an item song earlier performed by yesteryear cabaret queen Helen in the remake of Sholay. There are item numbers which were famous like in China Gate, Company, Lajja and so on in the year 2008 she was seen in the movie Karzzzz along with Himesh Reshammiya.it was a remake of the movie Karz where Matondkar portrayed as a villain in the movie.
