Ayesha Jhulka is one of the most charming and beautiful actresses of Bollywood film industry. Ayesha through her acting skills has been able to prove her mettle to the core as well as win recognition from the critics. She has acted in more than 35 Bollywood flicks but unfortunately most of her films have not received top ratings in the charts. She gave some memorable performances during the 1980s and 1990s.
Early Life of Ayesha Jhulka
Born on 28th July 1975 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ayesha Jhulka"s father, Inder Kumar Jhulka, was as Indian Air force Officer designated as a Wing Commander. She had spent some years of her childhood in Kashmir with her sister Aparna and then shifted to Delhi, as his father had a transferable job, and completed her education there. Ayesha completed her academics from Loreto Convent in Delhi Cantt after which she did her graduation in the year 1986. She then moved to Mumbai to try her luck in Bollywood.
Career of Ayesha Jhulka
Soon after completing her education Ayesha Jhulka stepped into a modelling world and then went on further to become a popular face of the Bollywood film industry. Ayesha Jhulka made her debut in acting with the movie, Kaise Kaise Log in 1983.
However she got her first major role with the film Meet Mere Mann Ke in 1990. Subsequently she worked in a Telugu film, Neti Siddhartha, in which she acted alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni. In the following year she featured in Kurbaan alongside Salman Khan. Her films Dalaal and Rang in 1993 gained some success at the box office. She was also a part of films like Suraj, Kohram, Waqt Hamara Hai and Meherbaan. Her performances in Balma and Sangram, in which she appeared in lead roles, were lauded by the critics.
Ayesha Jhulka shot to fame with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar alongside Aamir Khan and Khiladi opposite Akshay Kumar. Her acting received immense praises and took her career to great heights. She also featured alongside Divya Bharti in the film Rang which released after the sudden demise of the latter. After a break she returned with her acclaimed movies Masoom, Vishwavidhata, Hote Hote Pyar Ho Gaya and Ghoonghat. She also did few cameo roles in movies like Chachi 420, Run, Socha Na Tha and Umrao Jaan. Ayesha Jhulka has also acted in a few Punjabi movies like Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khas, Samvedna, Amma and Janani. She has also endorsed a few brands. Apart from this, she has also performed in and produced plays like Purush and Prakriti.
