Meenakshi Seshadri, Bollywood ActressMeenakshi Seshadri was born on 13th November 1963 in Sindri, Jharkhand. Her initial name was Shashikala Seshadri and she did her schooling from Carmel Convent, Delhi. She is considered as one of the most versatile actresses in the Hindi Film Industry. Her father was a blue-collar employee in the Sindri Plant Fertilizer Factory. She was a dancer by profession and dancing was the form by which she wanted to satisfy her creative urge. She won the prestigious award `Miss India` in the year 1980 at the age of 17 and till date is the youngest to win the crown.

Film Career of Meenakshi Seshadri
Meenakshi`s embarked upon her film career with the movie Painter Babu in 1982 with Rajiv Goswami. She got nation wide success with her box-office hit movie Hero in 1983. The movie was directed by Subhash Ghai. She went on to act in many Bollywood movies like Meri Jung (1985) with Anil Kapoor, Ganga Jamuna Saraswathi (1988) and Shahenshah (1988) alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Yash Chopra`s Vijay (1988) starring Rajesh Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Hema Malini, Gharana (1989), as a feminist in Ghar Ho To Aisa (1990) and Ghayal(1990) opposite Sunny Deol. In the year 1993 Meenakshi gave her critically acclaimed performance in Rajkumar Santoshi`s Damini and was nominated for the National Award for the movie.

They also have two kids, a daughter and a son. She has also opened up a dance academy in United States and teaches the notable Indian dance forms like Kathak, Odissi and Bharatnatyam. In the fifteen years course of her year she has appeared and meted brilliant performances in more than 70 Bollywood flicks. Such a talented and versatile actress is worthy of being missed by the hard-core movie-buffs.

Personal Life of Meenakshi Seshadri
Meenakshi was born into a family of Tamil Iyengar Brahmin at Sindri in the Indian state of Jharkhand. She is also a trained dancer in Indian classical dance in Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and Odissi. She took the dance training from Vempati Chinna Satyam and Jaya Rama Rao.

Later Meenakshi got married to an investment banker Harish Mysore. The couple, right after marriage, has settled in Texas, where they now live with their son and daughter Josh and Kendra respectively.
