Bikram Singh, Indian CyclistBikram Singh is an Indian cyclist. He is hailing from Manipur, Imphal, appeared in much national and international oriented cycling competition and ran for many noble causes based on the North East Frontier Tribal Issues.

Early Life of Bikram Singh
Bikram Singh was born on 3rd February in the year 1985. From the childhood, his talent was showed as a footballer. He played in may state level competitions. But the knack of the cycling came to him from his childhood days. Bikram Singh played football till state level, before he took to cycling and in his later career; he followed cycling seriously as his sports career.

Later Career of Bikram Singh
Bikram Singh came in the limelight of Indian cycling as a track cyclist. He competed the 5th National Games, which were held in Imphal, Manipur in February 1999.He helped in enhancing the visibility of the cycling in the velodrome in Manipur and became familiar and popular among the youth there. Right from the beginning, he always wanted to be a national champion and compete at an international level, and for this he chose an individual sport like cycling and worked very hard for it. Bikram Singh has always had the strength and support of his family. In December 2000, Bikram Singh participated in the first National Championship in Trivandrum, in the U-16 age category.

Other Career of Bikram Singh
Bikram Singh first landed a job with Indian Railways and in 2008. Bikram Singh moved to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in Dimapur, Nagaland as a Sports Assistant. He is currently pursuing a diploma in Sports coaching at NSNIS in Patiala of Punjab.

Award Received by Bikram Singh
Bikram Singh has won 30 gold medals, 15 silver and 16 bronze till now including the international achievements. Other awards received by Bikram Singh are the bronze medal in ACC Track Asia Cup 2010 in Japan Round with a 1km Time Trial, the silver and 1 Bronze in the preliminary before Commonwealth Games of 2010, which was held between 4 countries, Australia, Chinese Teipei, Malaysia and India in 1km Time Trial. Bikram Singh was also qualified for the first time for the world track cycling championship held in Australia in 2012. There he became the modern Indian to play in World Track Cycling Championship. There he, along with Amrit Singh and Amarjit Singh represented India as the cyclist in World Track Cycling Championship.
