Bhimkund Waterfall is a natural water tank in Odisha. It is a reservoir of two storied which resulted into the formation of two waterfalls one above another. The tank is believed to have measureless depth. Bhimkund is a beautiful natural water reservoir on the Baitarani River. It is located exactly on the boundary line between the Kendujhar District and Mayurbhanj District, at a distance of about 100 km from Keonjhar. The place is of religious importance in Odisha.
Attraction of Bhimkund Waterfall
The main attraction of this waterfall is statue of Bhim. The water of this waterfall is completely transparent and looks blue in colour. The huge roaring sound of the Bhimkund waterfall makes the place most interesting among tourists. This is best place for picnic and trekking. On one side of the waterfall, there is a Shiva Temple and on the other side is Ambika Temple.
Mythological Significance of Bhimkund
According to Mahabharata, it is revealed that Bhima, the second Pandavas used to take his bath in this pool when the Pandavas were passing their disguised life of exile in Birat Nagar, present Kaptipada.
Fair in Bhimkund
During Makar Festival in the month of January thousands of people gather here to take their holy dip.

Bhimkund can easily be reachable both by car and trains. To reach Bhimkund take the road from Baripada to Karanjia and from Karanjia take the road to Bajna village.
