Legends of Bhavishya Badri
The mythological legendary story, which declares that at the end of `Kali Yuga`, a landslide will collapse the mountains of Nara and Narayana, which would eventually block the pathway to Badrinath Temple, rendering the road inaccessible. The words `Nara` and `Narayana` mean Arjuna (who was the third son of Kunti) and Krishna, as per the Hindu epic Mahabharata. It is believed that this fatal landslide would occur when the right arm of the image of "Narasimha" would dissociate itself from its body.

Kali Yuga is believed to come to a sudden end when all kinds of evil forces swallow up the world, welcoming the creation of a brand new world known as `Satyuga`. Lord Vishnu, in his divine avatar of `Kalki` is believed to bring about the destruction of the Kali Yuga.
