The Bhatsa Lake is considered as the chief sources of water supply in the Mumbai city. Bhatsa Dam is a multipurpose project, used for irrigation water supply and generation of hydro electricity. Height of the Bhatsa Dam is around 89 meters, whereas the length is 959 meters. Submergence area of the Bhatsa Dam is 3070 hectares of land and the power generation capacity is 15 MW.
