Bethuadahari, Nadia District, West BengalLocated in the Nadia District of the state of West Bengal in the Nakashipara CD Block in Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision, the village of Bethuadahari is almost 28 km from the district headquarters of Krishnanagar town.

Demographics of Bethuadahari
As per the Census India reports of 2011, the total population of the village is 4923 out of which 2540 are male and 2383 are female. The population of children between the ages of 0 to 6 years is 9 percent .There are 1231 households in the village, where 50 percent of the population is from the general caste, the other 50 percent from scheduled caste and the rest 1 percent are the scheduled tribes. Total 3502 people in the village are literate, among them 1907 are male and 1595 are female. Literacy rate of Bethuadahari is 78 percent where children under the age 6 years are excluded.

Sanctuary of Bethuadahari
The forest reserve in Bethuadahari is a very important tourist spot of the state and it is famous for insemination of deers. The wildlife sanctuary spreads over an area of 67 hectares, and was established in 1980 to preserve a portion of the central Gangetic alluvial eco-zone. The sanctuary has a large population of spotted deer, jackal, Bengal Fox, porcupine and common langur. The avifauna of the region includes parakeets, Indian cuckoos, barbets and other smaller birds, while the reptiles and amphibians include pythons, monitor lizards and gharials, which are a small type of crocodiles.

The Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary also have an abundance of trees, the flora of the sanctuary mainly comprises of trees like shal, teak, arjuna, Indian Rosewood and bamboo.

Visiting Information on Bethuadahari
The village has its own railway station which is on the Lalgola subdivision of the Eastern Railways, which connects it with Sealdah station. And via roadways the village is accessible by the National Highway 12 which passes through this place.
