Bella Vista, Hyderabad, TelanganaBella Vista is a royal palace located in the south Indian city of Hyderabad, which is now the capital city of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Bella Vista is an example of a great work done by the French architect; Bella Vista still murmurs the sighs of medieval and early modern history of the colonial era, when India was under the shackles of British East India Company and French East India Company.

Architecture of Bella Vista
The sweeping curved arches of Bella Vista and the sheen of the pale white marbles offers somewhat a utopian feel to the palace. Bella Vista is standing as an emblem of the royalty of yore. Bella vista palace is as if a dreamland where history still whispers the saga of shattered dreams, rivalries, intrigues and lost love of the Nizams of Hyderabad, the feudal lords of Princely state of Hyderabad State.

Bella Vista was constructed in 1910 on the lines of the Henley on Thames of England. Bella Vista literally means beautiful sight because the palace looks across the Hussain Sagar Lake. French architect designed the building. This palace was the residence of heirs to the throne of Hyderabad namely Prince of Berar, Nawab Mir Himayat Ali Khan, Azam Jah Bahadur, the elder son of the Seventh Nizam and Mir Osman Ali Khan.

Bella Vista displays the Indo-European style architecture and it was built by a French architect. Bella Vista means beautiful sight since it provided a wonderful overlook of Hussain Sagar Lake, another important attraction in Hyderabad, which is now not seen due to flyovers.

In the year 1956, Bella Vista became a state guest house after the formation of Andhra Pradesh state after the decline of Nizam dynasty, with the Independence of India. It was then allocated to Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) and now this college displays a similar look as that of Henley on Thomas College in England. Since 1910, it has got many make overs and many repairs.

Bella Vista is spread over an area of 10 acres of land and it is located at Saifabad locality of Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for 10 years.
