The palace formerly served as the head quarters of Bastar Kigdom. The Bastar Palace is a seventy-years-old building in the state of Chhattisgarh. The government has built a monument inside the palace vicinity, wherein tourists can enjoy seeing various artefacts and the portraits of the bygone kings. The beautiful gardens that encircle the palace are a sight to behold.
Although the Royal Family resides in the palace, a part of the palace has been converted into a medical college. The palace does not have any accommodation facility for the visitors but meals are served to the guests.
