Balaram Das Tandon is an Indian politician and the leader of Bharatiya Janata Party from Punjab.
Balaram Das Tandon was born in the year 1927. He is the current Governor of Chattisgarh after Ram Naresh Yadav, who was appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh after Shekhar Dutt.
Balaram Das Tandon was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister in the Justice Gurnam Singh Akali Dal-Jan Sangh ministry in 1969-70.
Balaram Das Tandon also served as Cabinet Minister in 1977-79 and in 1997-2002 in the ministries headed by Parkash Singh Badal.
Balaram Das Tandon is the founding member of Jan Sangha in 1951 and served as secretary of Punjab Jan Sangha from 1951 to 1957. He was also the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab unit from 1995-97.
Balaram Das Tandon was elected to Punjab Legislative Assembly from Amritsar in 1960 to 1962 and 1967 to 1969 and in 1977 and from Rajpura in 1997. On July 14, 2014 he was appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
