Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary, Odisha came into existence in 1981 and inside it are present 22 residential villages. There exist animals including King Cobra, Leopard, Chausingha, Elephant and several other kinds of fauna here.

Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary, Nayagarh DistrictBaisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most reputed wildlife reserves of the eastern Indian state of Odisha and is based in Nayagarh District, close to the Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary towards its southern end. The sanctuary is spread over a vast area measuring about 168.35 square kilometres and is a portion of the Baisipalli Reserve Forest. It was developed on 7th November, 1981. This wildlife sanctuary has been so named due to the presence of 22 residential regions inside its grounds which serve as revenue villages. This wildlife sanctuary belongs to the Eastern Ghat sub-division, Eastern Plateau and also the Deccan Peninsula Bio-geographical region. Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary exists along the borders of Mahanadi River on Eastern Ghats.

Visitors to Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary will be greeted by various kinds of creatures like Spotted Deer, Bear, Mouse Deer, Leopard, Elephant, Sambhar, Tiger, Chausingha and reptiles like King Cobra, Indian Python, etc. A large quantity of aquatic birds pay visit to this wildlife sanctuary which involves residential as well as migratory birds. One might also observe amphibians and avifauna here.
