Badaghagra Waterfalls, OrissaThe Badaghagra Waterfall is situated around 10 km from Keonjhar on NH-6 towards Sambalpur in the Indian state of Odisha. The waterfall is located on the river Ghagra that is a tributary of Baitrani and falls from a height of 60 meter. During rainy seasons the water fall gets huge with loads of water from the mountain and becomes noisy. Badaghagra waterfall of Orissa is one of the central tourist attractions in the state of Orissa. The region around the Badaghagra waterfall is an ideal place for picnicking and trekking. The hilly terrain surrounding the waterfall Badaghagra is covered with lush green vegetation.

The place apart from the waterfall is also popular for the lofty peaks that are covered with dense forests. Situated at just about 5 km from these majestic waterfalls is another waterfall by the same river called San Ghagra. The twin destinations provide much excitement to the nature lovers and trekkers. The place is visited by tourist and picnickers throughout the year.

To visit these places tourists can avail buses that are numerously available. The nearest railway station is Keonjhar which is 11kms away from the Badaghagra waterfalls. Apart from these transport services, visitors can also aim for the Bhuvaneswar Airport that is 150kms away from the spot.
