Badagaon is a small village situated about 5 miles from Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district. A stone Shiva temple found here is a close prototype of the Parasurameswar. This temple is called the Badagaon Temple. In plan and elevation, in the scheme of decoration, in height and dimension, it shows such remarkable affinities with the Parasurameswar that a conclusion becomes unavoidable to regard them as close contemporaries.
