Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of SurgeryAfter completion of HSC examinations, a student may either opt for B.Sc (Bachelor of Science), B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) or MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), depending upon the outcome of their results.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery are the two degrees awarded after a course of undergraduate study in medicine and surgery. The duration of the course is four years within which the students are expected to complete their internship.

In the MBBS course, the student is taught the following subjects

•Forensic Medicine
•Medicine

•Ophthalmology
•Internship (the MBBS degree is offered to the student only after successful completion of the Internship).

After the completion of MBBS, an individual can pursue the following courses

Future prospects:
After completion of MBBS, the individual would be known as a general physician and would be conferred with the prefix of `Dr`. However, now-a-days Specialization has now become a pre-requisite.

Eligibility for the course:
Only students from the science stream at +2 level (XI and XII) are eligible for the MBBS course. The scores aquired in PCB combination (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) is considered as one of the parameter for admissions in MBBS course.

Entrance Tests:
Students are admitted on the basis of Commom Entrance Test (CET).
