Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University , Lonere, MaharashtraBabasaheb Ambedkar Technological University is an autonomous institution that is unitary in nature. The University has eight academic departments: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Petrochemical Engineering. The University also offer Polytechnic courses and Certificate Course in Nursing Technology.

Though young the University is making its mark in the field of research and technological services through its dedicated faculty and disciplined students. The University has a conducted institute of its own, "Institute of Petrochemical Engineering", running Diploma Courses in eight streams of engineering and technology. Its services are extended to the society through a governmental scheme of "Community Polytechnic" by educating the dropouts and empowering them with technical skills.
