Avika Sameer Gor is an Indian television and film actress, who shot to fame with the role of young Anandi on popular soap opera "Balika Vadhu" that airs on Colors TV, currently the longest running Hindi daily soap on Indian television with over 2000 episodes. She attained further prominence playing the role of Roli in the channel"s another popular soap "Sasural Simar Ka". She has also appeared in a few films, such as Hindi films "Paathshala" (2010) and "Tezz" (2012) and Telugu films like "Uyyala Jampala" (2013) and "Cinema Choopistha Mava". She made her debut in Kannada cinema in actor-director Kishan Shrikanth`s "Care of Footpath 2" and is also slated to appear in the upcoming 2016 Tamil film "Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru". She has also modelled for the kids fashion brand Gini & Jony.

Avika Gor was born on June 30, 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to Sameer Gor and Chetna Gor. She pursues schooling at Ryan International School in Mumbai and is very particular about her studies, making sure that it is not affected by her round the clock shooting schedules. She has learnt dance at school and has been the winner of drama competitions. She later plans to take up film making course or mass communication as part of her higher studies. She also aspires to enter a beauty pageant and desires to become Miss Universe. Avika"s ethnicity is Gujarati.
Television Career of Avika Gor
Avika Gor first appeared on television in a small role of Rajkumari Bhairavi in NDTV Imagine`s "Raajkumar Aaryyan", in the year 2008. She garnered fame and recognition playing the role of the protagonist child bride character young Anandi on Colors TV"s popular daily soap "Balika Vadhu", in the first 516 episodes of the first season from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, she was seen as Roli Siddhant Bharadwaj in Colors TV"s "Sasural Simar Ka", opposite Manish Raisinghani, where she also played the parallel lead Jhumki in 2013 and supporting lead character Shruti Verma in 2015. She quit the show in 2016.
Since 2015, she has been appearing on Maan TV"s daily soap "Sundar Shusheel Bahu" as Anuja, produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, alongside actors Ali Asgar, Shweta Tiwari and Mohammad Nazim. She has also made appearances on TV shows "Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni", "Karam Apna Apna", "Ssshhhh... Phir Koi Hai" and "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi".

Apart from television, Avika Gor has made appearances in movies, playing Gargi in Hindi film "Morning Walk" (2009), Avika in "Paathshala" (2010) and Piya Raina in "Tezz" (2012). She made her Telugu cinematic debut with romantic drama "Uyyala Jampala" in 2013, having already earned name in the Telugu industry through the dubbed version of "Balika Vadhu" titled "Chinnari Pellikuthuru". She played the lead Uma Devi opposite actor Raj Tarun in the film. In 2014, she was seen in Telugu film "Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki" as Lakshmi and films "Cinema Choopistha Mava" as Parinitha and "Thanu Nenu" as Keerthi in 2015, also appearing as the lead Geetha in the multilingual drama "Care of Footpath 2" the same year. She is also slated to make her Tamil Cinema debut with "Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru" in 2016, alongside G. V. Prakash Kumar, Anandhi and Prakash Raj.
Avika Gor has also appeared in a short film titled "Ankahee Baatein" with her co-star from "Sasural Simar Ka" Manish Raisinghani. It was officially selected in the short film category at Cannes International Film Festival.
