Ammana Ashish Reddy, more popular as Ashish Reddy, is an Indian cricketer. He is a right handed batsman and right-arm medium bowler.
He made his IPL debut in the year 2012. He has played for teams like Deccan Chargers, Hyderabad (India) and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Early Life of Ashish Reddy
He was born on 24 February 1991 at Secunderabad in the Telangana state of India. He was brought up in Hyderabad. His parents run a supermarket in Sainikpuri. He attended Bhavans Ramakrishna Vidyalaya School from where he completed his education from KG to 10th standard. At the beginning, he received cricket training from Vijay Paul who is also the former coach of Bhavans Ramakrishna Vidyalaya School.
Career of Ashish Reddy
He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad against Saurashtra at home in 2012. He has played First class, List A and Twenty20 cricket for Hyderabad. The 2012-13 season saw him enjoying good outing. He picked up 29 wickets to become the side`s leading wicket-taker. All his efforts and impressive performances helped him bag an IPL contract in 2012. He played for the Deccan Chargers in the 2012 Indian Premier League.
In the year 2013, he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad (who replaced Deccan Chargers) and played a few games. However, he was sidelined as he was injured that put him out of action for rest of the IPL. Next in the year 2014, he was selected to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad but he was not seen in any of the match. He was again picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2015 Indian Premier League. This IPL season too is yet to feature him.
