Early Life of Arunoday Singh
Arunoday Singh was born in the year 1983. He is the grandson of Indian politician, Arjun Singh. He did his schooling from a boarding school situated at Kodaikanal. He had interest in acting since a young age and used to perform in school plays. Later he completed his higher education from Brandeis University. He was immensely inspired by the work of actor Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront (1954). He even made the decision of becoming an actor after watching him in the movie. His graduation was followed by a few courses in the New York Film Academy. Afterwards he enrolled himself in the Acting Studio in New York. There he also performed in a number of plays.

Film Career of Arunoday Singh
After completing his education, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. There he began giving auditions for Hindi movies. He got his first break in 2009 through Piyush Jha`s movie Sikandar in which he played the role of a Kashmiri terrorist. His next venture was the movie Aisha under Anil Kapoor`s home production in the year 2010. The movie was an adaptation of Jane Austen`s novel Emma and Arunoday was featured along with Sonam Kapoor. In the same year he also starred in Vinay Shukla`s movie Mirch where he appeared with Konkana Sen and Raima Sen. The movie was a compilation of five stories based on gender and sexuality. Arunoday played the role of a struggling film director which was the central character of the movie. In the following year the actor appeared in Sudhir Mishra`s Yeh Saali Zindagi alongside Irrfan Khan and Aditi Rao Hydari. For the movie he also earned the nomination of for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 18th Star Screen Awards.
