Arulnithi, Tamil Film Actor Arulnithi is a contemporary Indian actor who works in the Tamil Cinema. He is best known for playing his debut lead role in Pandiraj-directed Tamil action film "Vamsam", Santha Kumar"s thriller "Mouna Guru" and M. K. Tamilarasu"s horror film "Demonte Colony".

Early Life of Arulnithi
Arulnithi, born Arulnithi Tamilarasu on July 21, 1987, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, hails from a political background being the grandson of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi, who was popularly called Kalaignar. His father is M. K. Tamilarasu, brother of M. K. Stalin, who is the former deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of Tamil Nadu and has produced three of Arulnithi"s films.

Education of Arulnithi
The actor completed his schooling from St. Michael`s Academy in Chennai, before pursuing graduation at Loyola College. He then continued his higher education at Pondicherry University and Middlesex University.

Arulnithi, Tamil Film Actor Acting Career of Arulnithi
Although backed by a popular political family of Tamil Nadu, Arulnithi was not interested in politics. He was offered to play the lead role in director Pandiraj"s "Vamsam", after his cousin, Udhayanidhi Stalin, had opted out. He featured alongside actress Sunaina, as a young man shying away from the politics of his village, despite claims for him to avenge his father`s death. The film was heavily promoted in Tamil Nadu as a result of the influence of his family and became a profitable venture at the box office upon release in 2010 while garnering positive reviews. Arulnithi"s work also earned him a nomination in the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actor. His second film was the action film "Udhayan", in which he played his first dual role. It opened to mixed reviews and moderate box office success. His subsequent project, "Mouna Guru" was produced by his father M. K. Tamilarasu and written and directed by debutant Santha Kumar. A thriller project, it featured Arulnithi as a misunderstood college youth who becomes unwillingly involved in a crime plot that spirals his life out of order. Released in December 2011, the film garnered highly rave reviews and eventually became a sleeper hit. It was also screened at the 2013 Hong Kong International Film Festival. It is being remade in Hindi by filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss, titled "Akira".

Arulnithi, Tamil Film Actor Arulnithi later appeared in the 2013 Tamil mystery drama "Thagaraaru", which garnered positive reviews and fared average at the box office. He was seen in the 2014 fantasy comedy film "Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum" that earned poor reviews but was an average grosser at the box office. He featured in the lead in the 2015 horror film "Demonte Colony", written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by his father. A fictional story set at the Demonte Colony in Alwarpet, Chennai, the film garnered brilliant reviews and also proved successful at the box office, clinching the number one position at the Chennai box office with an opening weekend gross of Rs.64.01 Lakhs. Arulnithi was next seen in the comedy film "Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum", which received poor reviews from critics and audiences alike. He was next seen in Arivazhagan"s crime thriller film "Aarathu Sinam", which released in February 2016. In 2017, he appear in Radha Mohan"s “Brindavanam”. In 2018, he had signed for a thriller movie “Iravukku Aayiram Kangal” with Mu. Maran produced by G. Dilli Babu. In 2019, he acted in the film k-13.

Personal Life of Arulnithi
Arulnithi married Keerthana on June 7, 2015. Noted Tamil film producers, Udhayanidhi Stalin and Dhayanidhi Alagiri, are his cousins.
