Arshad Warsi is an accomplished Bollywood actor who has established himself as one of the most versatile actors of Indian film industry. After struggling in different fields in the initial phase of life, he stepped into the acting arena with the Bollywood flick Tere Mere Sapne. He is also known for his remarkable dancing skills. Early Life of Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi was born on 19th April in 1969 in Mumbai to a Parsi family. He did his schooling at a boarding school, Barnes School, Deolali Pravara in Nashik District, Maharashtra. He was a national level gymnast during his school days. He lost his parents at an early age which was followed by his struggle for survival. In the initial years he worked as a salesman and in a photo lab. Later he joined Akbar Sami`s dance group in Mumbai and began his dancing and choreographing career. Soon he won an Indian dance competition in 1991 and was placed fourth in the `Modern Jazz` category in 1992 World Dance championship, London, at the age of 21. Subsequently Warsi set up his own dance studio, `Awesome`. He is also associated with an English theatre group in Mumbai.

Film Career of Arshad Warsi
Arshid Warsi made his cinematic debut with Tere Mere Sapne produced by Amitabh Bachchan production company ABCL in the year 1996. The movie did not fair well but the audiences and critics appreciated his performance as an actor. Over the next few years he acted in a score of movies but could not achieve major success. The movie Hogi Pyar Ki Jeet came to him somewhat as a saving grace. Though the film did not rock the box office he was noted for his excellent comedy timing and commendable acting. After this film again a series of unsuccessful films followed with the names like Aye Watan Tere Liye, Mujhey Meri Biwi Se Bachao and Jeetenge Hum.

The turning point in his career came in the year 2003 with his portrayal of the character of Circuit in the popular Bollywood flick Munnabhai MBBS. He actually ignited the box-office with his superb performance in this chartbuster. It is after this movie that a string of big banner movies followed and Arshad Warsi was seen in all the names like Hulchul, Chocolate, Salaam Namaste, Kisse Pyar Karoon, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota and Lage Raho Munnabhai. The last movie also won him many popular awards and is also regarded as a modern day classic. In the year 2010 he starred in the movie Ishqiya. The movie was a huge hit and his commendable acting was well praised. His other movies include Golmaal 3, F.A.L.T.U, Double Dhamaal, Zila Ghaziabad, Jolly LLB and Dedh Ishqiya.

Apart from acting the actor has also done playback singing in the movies Munnabhai M.B.B.S. and Lage Raho Munnabhai. Arshad Warsi stepped in the field of film production in the year 2010 with the film Hum Tum Aur Ghost.

Television Career of Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi has also done a number of projects on the small screen. He hosted a popular award show Sabse Favourite Kaun for Star Gold. He also hosted another popular show called Filmy Stock Exchange on the Sahara Filmy channel. He hosted the popular show Big Boss that was a replica of the international show of Big Brother on the SONY TV Channel. This show was a huge hit in the Indian subcontinent and made him a huge star. He appeared as a co-host in the dance show Razzmatazz, which was aired on Zee TV. He also did a cameo role in a television show named Ishaan.

Arshad Warsi won Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role in 2004 for his movie Munnabhai M.B.B.S., GIFA Best Comedian Award in 2005 for Hulchul and Filmfare Awards, Zee Cine Award, IIFA Award and Star Screen Award for the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2007. He is married to the popular MTV India VJ Maria Goretti since 14th February in the year 1999. They have a son named Zeke Zidan Warsi and a daughter named Zene Zoe Warsi.
