Archita Sahu was born on 29th June in the year 1990. She was also brought up in Bhubaneswar city, Odisha. She completed her schooling from D.M School and did graduation in B.Tech from KIIT University. From her childhood she liked dancing, modelling, acting, etc.

Archita Sahu did her first Oriya film "O My Love" in 2005. She played the lead female role in several Oriya movies like "Babu I Love You", "Mun Eka Tumara", "Chocolate" and "Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila". Besides movies, Archita Sahu has recently achieved great success as a model. She was the 1st runner up in Pond"s Femina Miss India Kolkata 2013 and won "Lakme Absolute Femina Miss Eyeconic Eyes". She also won titles like "Miss Talented" and "Miss Stylish Hair" in the grand finale.

Archita Sahu is now adjudged as the top actress in Oriya film industry. She has a huge fan following in Odisha and its adjacent states in eastern India. Besides acting and modelling, Archita Sahu is involved in different social works. Archita Sahu was the only Oriya actress to be a part of Indian Premier League 5 as the brand ambassador of Deccan Chargers.

Awards Received by Archita Sahu
In the year 2004, Archita Sahu was crowned Miss Kalinga. She is the only actress in Oriya film industry who bagged State Award as "Best Actress" three times by the Government of Odisha. She has received the "Best Newcomer" and Best Actress awards for her celluloid performances. Archita Sahu has also been awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Samman in 2009 for her contribution to the society.

Social Work of Archita Sahu
Archita Sahu is presently the Odisha State Ambassador of United Nations International Children"s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and Government of Odisha for "Eradication of child labour". Archita Sahu is also the ambassador of "Junior Red Cross".
