Location of Araku Valley
It is situated at 114 kilometres from Visakhapatnam, close to the Odisha state boundary. It is situated at an altitude of 600-900 kilometres from the sea level.
Climate of Araku Valley
Temperature can go up to 42 degrees in May month. In winter the temperature can come down to 14 to 15 degree. Araku gets strike by cyclonic storm of Bay of Bengal during the month of October to November.

Borra Caves: Borra Caves are situated at a distance of 92 kilometres north of Visakhapatnam. It is famous for amazing hilly ground, beautiful landscapes, semi-evergreen humid forests and wild fauna.
Dumbriguda Chaparai: Chaparai is a famous picnic spot in Araku valley. In winter season, water flow is less and the landscapes along with the gardens are situated at the surrounding of this place.
Sri Matyalingeshwara Swamy Temple: The temple is devoted to a local deity who is said to have saved all fishes from a fight between them and snakes. The place of worship is considered to be extremely old.
Coffee plantations: Coffee plantations attract the attention of the visitors. It is the tall trees sheltering the smaller bushes of need. The beauty is enhanced by the hanging berries of coffee.
Padmapuran Botanical Garden: It is maintained by an administration. This part of Eastern Ghats is enjoyed by kids riding in the toy train although adults can also experience the swings above the ground by residing in one of the three tree huts situated inside.
Tyda Village and Park: It is famous for trekking and camping.
Dumbriguda Falls: It is located on the way to Paderu village. Water falls from an altitude of 3215 feet makes it a great sight.
Katiki Falls: Katiki Falls offers opportunity for trekking.
Bheemunipatnam Beach: It is situated close to Araku at the gap of River Gosthani. This beach shows tall coconut trees and some ruins of Portuguese history.
Araku Tribal Museum: It is a tribal museum and a destination to take pleasure with the colourful outfits worn by tribal locals, their daily chores which are all preserved in the form of clay work.

Araku Valley has two railway stations which are on Eastern coastal line. Nearest Airport is Vishakhapatnam Airport. From Vizag the road is to a certain extent clear for a road travel. People usually have to arrive at Vizag to reach to Araku Valley.
