Anthurium Festival, MizoramAnthurium Festival is an Indian regional festival celebrated in Mizoram. This festival is organised by the Tourism Department of the Government of Mizoram. It is a three day-long cultural event organized every year in the month of September with an intention to promote tourism in the state and also encourage Anthurium cultivation in Mizoram. It is a very popular festival and has slowly become one of the most prominent tourism festivals of the North East region of India after Bihu Festival of Assam and Hornbill Festival of Nagaland. It is a festival that not only highlights the tourism potential of the state but also showcases the culture and tradition of the Mizo Tribes.

Location of Anthurium Festival
Anthurium Festival is celebrated at the tourist resort in Reiek Village, one of the prominent tourist destinations of Mizoram, at the foothills of the Reiek Mountain. Reiek Mountain is about 20 kilometers away from Aizwal, the capital city of Mizoram.

Attractions of Anthurium Festival
The beautiful Anthurium flowers grown in Mizoram are put on display and sold during the Anthurium Festival and tours to amazing Anthurium plantations are also conducted during this festival.

Mizo Tribes in Anthurium Festival
In this festival Mizo tribes also come together and showcase their culture and traditions. The indigenous tribal games and sports, traditional Mizo delicacies, folk songs and dances, traditional methods of harvesting, cooking and handicrafts etc are the prime attractions of Mizo tribes in this festival. Different Mizoram products like fruit juices, pickles, handicrafts, handloom items, bamboo products etc are also put on display and sold during the Anthurium Festival. Fashion shows and music concerts organised by the local tribal populace are also an important aspect of the Anthurium Festival.
