Anisa Sayyed, Indian ShooterAnisa Sayyed is an Indian shooter of contemporary times, hailing from Pune (Maharashtra). She was the winner of two gold medals in Commonwealth Games in 2010. The Commonwealth Games of 2010 was held from October 3 to October 14 in Delhi. Anisa Sayyed shot to fame with the gold medal which she won along with Rahi in the shooting event at Commonwealth Games.

Anisa Sayyed was born on 22nd September 1980. She was born in Satara District of Maharashtra and is now settled in Faridabad District in Haryana with her husband. She developed an interest in shooting when she was a National Cadet Crops (NCC) in her college. Anisa Sayyed began her shooting career in the year 2002.

Anisa Sayyed is a woman Indian shooter who won the first gold medal with 25m pistol event in the pair of Rahi Sarnobat. This 33 years old Anisa Sayyed took the silver medal in the women`s 25 metre pistol event of the Commonwealth Games at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre near Glasgow on June 26, 2014.

Anisa Sayyed won the individual gold medal with a score of 776.5. Anisa Sayyed has also won the gold medal in SAF games in 2006. In 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, she won Silver in women"s 25-metre pistol event. Anisa Sayyed is supported by Anglian Medal Hunt Company.

Anisa Sayyed is married to Mubarak Hussain. Anisa Sayyed was a former employee of Indian Railways and was working as a Ticket Collector on the busy Mumbai-Pune Railway Route at Vile Parle Railway Station of Maharashtra. Anisa Sayyed resigned from her job after being repeatedly denied transfer to her home town (Pune).
