Anees Bazmee, Bollywood DirectorAnees Bazmee is one of the most prominent directors of the Hindi film industry. Apart from film direction, his works as a screenwriter have also received appreciations. He is recognized for directing a number of multistarrer comedy movies. His association with actors like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor have proved to be quite successful. Starting his career as the screenwriter and writing scripts for several hit films, he gradually shifted to film direction, delivering some of the most cherish Bollywood films.

Career of Anees Bazmee
Anees Bazmee began his film carer in the year 1988 as a dialogue writer for the Bollywood flick Hum Farishte Nahin. Following this, he took a break from the entertainment industry and returned in the year 1990 with the movie Swarg as a writer. The film featured Rajesh Khanna and Govinda and was directed by David Dhawan. Following this venture Anees Bazmee collaborated with David Dhawan many times. Other successful films for which he penned the scripts include Andaaz, Gopi Kishan, Aaj ka Goonda Raj and many more.

After authoring more than ten film scripts including the hit movies like Aankhen, Bazmee marked his debut directional venture in the year 1995 with the film Hulchul starring Kajol and Ajay Devgan. However the film could not mark its presence in the commercial as well as critical arena. In 1998 he once again featured the same lead pair in his second film titled Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha which went on to become a commercial and critical success. The film also marked to be one of the biggest hits of the Hindi film industry that year. His success in the movie was followed by a few years` break from direction which ended in 2002 with the Bollywood thriller Deewangee. The movie did an above average business at the box office. In the year 2005 Anees Bazmee directed the comedy flick No Entry which once again proved to be the biggest hit of the year. His success story continued with the films "Singh Is Kinng" and "Welcome". In the year 2011, he directed Ready starring Salman Khan which once again became successful.
