Amvajanma Tirtha, HaryanaAmvajanma Tirtha of Mahatma Narada is conducted in the northern Indian state of Haryana. This Tirtha is also known as `Ambajanma Tirtha` in the Vamana Purana. The name `Amvajanma Tirtha` was used in the Hindu epic of Mahabharata.

The Vamana Purana asserts that after the assassination of Hiranya Kashyapa, Lord Vishnu, in the avatar of `Nrisingha` was engaged in a violent combat with Lord Shiva, who was then in the form of `Sharabha`. It is said that they accidentally fell into a pond during their fierce fight. Narada, at that point of time was absorbed in deep meditation on the banks of that pond, under a `peepal tree`. As soon as `Devarsi` caught sight of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of `chalurbhuja` while Lord Shiva emerged in the form of `Linga`. Thereafter, Narada appreciated both of them and declared that from that day onwards the region would be known as `Anyajanma`. He also added that if a person would take a bath in this pond and performed the rituals of `Terpana` for his ancestors, he would attain complete wisdom and knowledge of senses. Amvajanma Tirtha is based about 5 km from Kaithal in the west in Dyoda Village.
