Ajita is a form of Lord Vishnu. Ajita is an unequalled energy of Vishnu combining with the quality of goodness and effecting the preservation of created things. He presides over all the Manwantaras in the form of a divinity.

The term `Ajita` also means unconquered and unexcelled. There was also one of the seven Rishis, who preside during the reign of the fourteenth Manu.
