Ajanta cave 25, a small unfinished monastery, excavated at a higher level, has an enclosed courtyard, a pillared verandah and an astylar hall. Except for the two cells on the left end of the verandah, there are no cells around the hall, nor is there any shrine. The pillars of the verandah have moulded bases, octagonal shafts and bracket-capitals.
