Aindrajalika is illusion or an art of magic or necromancy. Here, `Indra` is a deity and `Jala` means net. This art is widespread in India and has reached to a degree of perfection, which no other country could attain till today.
It is difficult for even the sharpest observers to explain the tricks performed through Aindrajalika. In the Hindu dramas, magicians are described as having a bunch of Peacock`s feathers in their hands. This bunch creates the magic and is carried by mendicants in India who pretend to be skilled in magic. The Aindrajalika is especially used by Jaina nomadic.
