Agha Shorish Kashmiri was a renowned Indian independence activist, writer, scholar and debater of undivided British India. He was born as Abdul Karim Shorish in the year 1917 in Lahore, British India. Kashmiri actively participated in the Indian freedom struggle and greatly contributed to the cause. Agha Shorish Kashmiri also was one of the eminent leaders of the Majlis E Ahrar Ul Islam, also known as Majlis E Ahrar E Islam or simply as Ahrar, was an Indian conservative Sunni Muslim political party that existed during the rule of the British Empire in India. The party played a significant role in the Indian political scenario before to the Partition of India.

Agha Shorish Kashmiri acted was the chief editor of the weekly journal knowna s Chattan. After the nation gained freedom from the rule of the British Empire in India and the partition of India, he settled in the dominion of Pakistan. Kashmiri died on 6 November 1975 in Lahore, Pakistan.
