Be happy" ---Adrain`s message to the youth. Adrian D Souza is a field hockey goalkeeper of India. He had represented his native country India in the Men`s National Team, during the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the year 2004. He also made his debut in the international field with that tournament.

Adrian D Souza also at the 2004 Summer Olympics represented his native country India, where they finished in seventh place. Adrian Albert D`souza also regarded as one of the most advanced and audacious goal-keepers of epoch times. With Adrian the festinating technique introduced to the hockey field. Under the captaincy of Adrian Albert D`souza the India Junior Hockey team participated in the Rabobank 2005 Junior Hockey World Cup (Under 21`s).

Adrian D Souza was born on March 24, 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Adrian was born in Malad that is a western suburb in Mumbai, Maharashtra. From St Anne`s High School, Orlem, Malad, he has done his schooling. From his childhood, he has been always active in sports and also reckoned as a very good football player. To Adrian Albert D`souza, Hockey happened as an accident. Once the regular Goal-Keeper of the team did not report for a game at the time. Adrian has played as the goal-keeper in that game and since then he has never looked back. The Air-India Hockey Academy gave him his first break. He was just 16 year old then. It was undoubtedly a tender age. Soon after three years, Adrian was representing India at the Athens Olympics.

While on the field, Adrian always steps in wearing his lucky number 12 jersey. Adrian D Souza also played for the Maratha Warriors in the Premier Hockey League. He was included as a part of the Junior India team. Along with him, the Junior India team took part in the 6 Nation Junior Champions Challenge, which held at Gniezno,Poland in 2003. And Adrian Albert D`souza was bestowed as the Best Goal-keeper. At the 2004 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, adrain also represented the Senior India team, which held at Kuala Lumpur. He was also a part of the Junior India team that attain success in the 2004 Junior Asia Cup held in Karachi, Pakistan. Again in the tournament the Best Goal-Keeper award was conferred to him.

Adrian D Souza also delineated the Senior India team at a 4 Nation Tournament that took place in Japan.

•For best Indian Hockey player of the year for 2004, he was awarded the HISA ( Hero Indian Sports Academy ) award.


•Adrain Albert D`souza also participated in the inaugural Super League. The league was organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. Adrain represented Baloch Lions and was awarded the 2nd Best Goal-Keeper award.


•In December 2006, he participated in the Champions Trophy, which held in Chennai, India.


•Adrain Albert D`souza also represented India in the 6 match bi-lateral series with Pakistan in February 2006 and the Commonwealth Games 2006 in Melbourne, Australia.


•At the 17th Sultan Azlan Shah tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he delineated India. In that tournament India won a bronze medal.


•Adrain Albert D`souza represented India at the FIH World Cup 2006 in Monchengladbach, Germany.
