Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra, Chandkheri, RajasthanShri Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra located in Chandkheri in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. It is an Atishaya Kshetra i.e. Place of Miracle. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Rishabh Dev, the first Jain Tirthankara.

History of Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra
According to history the temple of Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra has been constructed by the secretary of Kota State Shri Kishandas Mariya during V.S. 1730 to V.S. 1746. The idol of Lord Adinatha or Bhagwan Rishabh Dev is miraculous in nature. It fulfils the desires of the pilgrims visiting the temple. Apart from this the idol of Lord Chandraprabha located here was discovered from the forest of Shergarh - Barapati area. It was brought from there and installed in the temple.

Temple of Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra
The temple of Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra is dedicated to the Bhagwan Rishabh Dev, also known as Lord Adinath. It is seated in a padmasana position and is made of Red Stone. It is 6.25 feet in height and has been installed in a basement 12 feet underground. The idol has been magnificently carved with intricate designs and is adorned with unique features. After the completion of the temple a grand celebration was organised in V.S. 1746. It was headed by Bhattaraka Jagatkeertiji. Apart from the idol of Lord Adinath, another beautiful idol of Lord Chandraprabhu is also installed in the temple. It is located at the back of the idol and is made of jewels. It looks very attractive and has been magnificently carved. The temple is also adorned by a Manstambha or column of dignity as well as a Samavsharan Mandir. The temple organises annual gatherings. Grand celebrations and festivals are organized on the birthday of Shri Adinathswami from Chaitra Shukla. There are provisions for dharamshalas or rest houses for the pilgrims. These are well equipped with all modern facilities. Adinath Yatrinivas and Delhiwala Dharmshala are the two famous rest houses situated here.

Adinath Digambar Jain Kshetra is well connected with road, rail and air. Buses and Jeeps are avaible from Kota, Jhalawar, Baran, Atru etc. one can also hire vehicle from Kshetra to Bus Stand Khanpur. The nearest railway station is located at Kota on the Delhi-Mumbai Line. It is at a distance of 90 km.
