Being affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirappalli , this self emergent Adaikala Matha College was founded in 1988-89 by "The Adaikalamatha Educational Health & Charitable Trust" with the renowned educationist Dr. A. Arunachalam as its chairman. The motto of the college is to encourage the morals of loyalty, quality education and to provide students the aptitude of getting fit for the competitive world.

Adaikala Matha College (AMC) offers various courses at postgraduate level. Some of them are-- Masters in Computer Application, M.Sc. (Information Technology), M.Sc (Information Science & Management), M.Sc. (Software Technology), M.Sc. (Industrial Electronics) M.Sc. (Instrumentation) that deserves mentioning.
