It is believed that Achintya Bheda Abheda was founded by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Achintya in Sanskrit means `inconceivable`, bheda means `difference` and abheda means `oneness`. It differentiates the Gaudiya tradition from other Vaishnava Sampradayas. It can be best understood as integral monism.
Achintya-bheda-abheda philosophy includes elements of both individual soul and God. The living soul is linked with the Supreme Lord. At the same time it is not the same as God. The exact nature of this relationship is inconceivable to the human mind.
The theological principle of achintya-bheda-abheda is that God is simultaneously "one with and different from his creation". Creation is never separated from God. God exercises supreme control over his creation indirectly or directly through his different energies.
Achintya Bheda Abheda is clearly different from the concept of anivacaniya or the inexpressible of Advaita Vedanta. Svayam bhagavan and his shaktis are real and they are different from each other.
