Achabal Wildlife Sanctuary is a wild life sanctuary housing some of the most prominent asnd endangered species like Himalayan Black bear, Leopard, Jackal, Leopard cat, Indian Porcupine, Hog deer, and the Barking Deer.
Achabal Wildlife Sanctuary, better known as Achabal Conservation Reserve is located in Anantanag District of Jammu and Kashmir, spread an area of 0.50 square kilometres. Achabal Conservation Reserve was designated as a Game Reserve by the Maharaja of Kashmir. In the year 2008, it was denoted as Achabal Wildlife Sanctuary.
A wide array of coniferous forests like Kail Pine, Spruce, Fir, Birch, Deodar and Juniper trees are prevalent in Achabal Wildlife Sanctuary.
