ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association-Vishakapatnam District Cricket Association) is a multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, India.
Ground Profile of ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium
Presently the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium is used mostly for cricket matches. This particular stadium was built in the year 2003 and has full capacity of 46,000 people. The ground was awarded Test status in 2007. It also has the facilities of lights, and D/N matches can be held at this ground. This particular stadium has hosted 3 ODI matches with the home team - India winning all of these matches and is a confirmed venue for Indian Premier League. It is a beautiful stadium with picturesque view that stands amidst green hills on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam. The stadium has two-tier architecture and it is designed and stylized in such a manner that view of the match in action is not at all obstructed whatever may be the seating location. It also happens to be the first Cricket stadium in India to use the ground based LCD displays for advertisements during the Cricket matches. This was introduced during India vs. Sri Lanka ODI match in 207.
