For 20 years, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla have captivated the world of fashion with their unique creations, pioneering along the way many an innovative idea and style in haute couture. Though they lack in professional training, specialize in the ethnic fashion to their fancies. Thus, they claim in making heirlooms, not garments.
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla label has made its mark internationally, beginning with the range of exclusive shawls that sold under the Shakira Caine mark at Harvey Nichols and Harrods in London, Neiman Marcus, Bergdof Goodman in New York and Knightsbridge, UK on the designer floor.
The Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture lines are sought after at many charitable events such as, the Art of Giving Charity chaired by Richard Gere and the fashion show put up for the British Council`s Enduring Image Exhibition. Their designer label, Jashan, was previewed at the Save the Children Charity fundraising ball in London, chaired by Princess Anne and the prestigious Asia Society presentation in New York and Houston. The duo are also known for dressing India`s best known faces such as Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Parmeshwar Godrej among the Indian personalities as well as international figures such as Judi Dench who has worn their creations, at the Oscars.
They have even made their foray into furniture and here also their distinct style with an exceptional sense of aesthetics has gained them accolades around their vast clientele. They have done up homes for celebrities such as Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, and Nikhil and Shweta Nanda`s palatial mansion. The talk of the originality and creative opulence in the homes of these famous personalities led to an invitation from Selfridges, London to participate in a month long Bollywood festival wherein they recreated Dimple Kapadia`s residence.
In December 2003 Abu-Sandeep were presented with the National award for best costumes for `Devdas` where they designed costumes for the pivotal characters of Madhuri Dixit, Shahrukh Khan and Jackie Shroff.
The duo retail from their flagship stores in Bombay, Bangalore and New Delhi. For the year, 2005 Abu-Sandeep was the creative directors for the show `Lakme Fashion House` on Star One. They were the creative directors for the show.
Abu- Sandeep is best distinguished for reinventing traditional Indian arts of chikan and zardozi. Each day provides a new challenge in creativity that already has and will continue to imprint the world of fashion.

LIFW 2005
The collection was all white with clean silhouettes but detailing that gave the garments a multi-dimensional feel. Known for their love of extravagance, they had large swarvoski hanging from the bodies. They showed a western line, which had 50s style glam, thanks to the drapes and halter styles in them.
Wills Lifestyle IFW 2006
The desert inspired the collection. It had a palette of sand, sky, salt, mica, morning mist and mirages. Soft silhouettes in light fabrics had the glints of mica, discreet patchwork and a pale play of pattern against pattern. Evoking shadows formed by light to create subtle embellishments with simple elegance.
