Aarthie Ramaswamy, Indian Chess PlayerAarthi Ramaswamy is a popular name in the chess circuit in India. Aarti Ramaswamy, an Indian Chess player, was born on 28th June 1981. She happens to be the Woman Grand Master (WGM) and is the national champion on 2003. Before that, in 1999, she won the under 18 girls championship that took place in Oropesa, Spain. Presently she is rated 2211.

In the Under-10 Girl Competition held in the year 1990, Aarthi Ramaswamy she took 2nd place and in 1993, she grabbed 1st place in the India Under-12 Girl Competition. She also won the Under-14 and Under-16 in the year 1995 for India Girls Championship. In 1998 and 1999, she won the under-18 National girls title.
