Richard James Allen, an Indian field hockey player, was born on 4th June1902. Richard James Allen has emulated in the 1928 Summer Olympics, in the 1932 Summer Olympics, and in the 1936 Summer Olympics. Between 1928 and 1936, the Indian field hockey team won the first three consecutive Gold Medals of which Richard James Allen was a member.

This Indian goalkeeper, Richard James Allen did not compromise a single goal in the 1928 Olympics. In the year 1936, Allen has played four matches as goalkeeper. In 3 consecutive Olympics, in the year 1928, 1932, 1936, Allen kept India`s goal and passed only 3 goals in the 3 Olympics to help India win 3 gold medals.
