The town of Raipur was founded in the year 1420. During that time, a man named Rao Rai Singh, who was supposedly one of the sons of Rana Har Rai of Ajmer arrived in the town and constructed the Raipur Rani Fort. He settled in the region and his descendants ruled the land until the Indian Independence.
