Reiek, MizoramReiek is located 29 km away from Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram. This is one of the major tourist spots of the state. Reiek rests at an elevation of 1548 meters overlooking Aizawl and offers the scenic beauty of the surrounding valleys and small hills. Reiek Hill is surrounded by thick lush green temperate trees and bushes.

Heritage Village of Reiek
Reiek has a separate Mizo village, inhabited by Mizo tribal people, who lead a very simple life. The village is consisted of the distinctive traditional huts of the different Mizo sub-tribes, Mizo chieftain, bachelors", widows etc. It is created and maintained by the Tourism Department of Mizoram for the national and international level tourists. The houses of Mizo tribal people of the Heritage village are fully furnished. A few Mizo modern houses have also been constructed nearby to show the changes that have taken place in their lifestyle.

Festival of Reiek
The prime festival of Reiek is Anthurium festival. It is celebrated in the month of April. Anthurium Festival is an annual fiesta promoting Anthurium and the rich Mizo customs and traditions at Reiek Tlang to national and international level tourists. It is organized every year by the Tourism Department of Mizoram and the Horticulture Department of Mizoram with financial support from the Government of India. The purpose of hosting the Anthurium festival is to promote the cultivation and marketing of the enthralling flower and attracting more tourists to Mizoram. It also showcases the rich cultural dances and games of the state. The tribal fashion shows are also a regular feature of the festival.

Wildlife in Reiek
The forest division in Reiek is home to a large number of bird species including the rare Peregrine falcon. The Environment and Forest Department of Mizoram has encouraged the national and international tourists to inform the local community before trekking in the small undulating forests of Reiek.

Visiting Information on Reiek
Lengpui Airport Silchar Railway Station are the nearest to reach Aizawl. From Aizawl, Reiek can be reached by a vehicle. National Highway 306 connects Mizoram to other parts of India.
