Uran Beach, MaharashtraThe Uran Beach is enclosed with beautiful landscapes and the path leading to the beach is covered with hills, paddy fields and a scenic view. Standing in the midst of nature, the Uran Beach is enclosed with the Arabian Sea on 3 sides and one side with land which is the way towards the coastal town of Uran.

The area around the Uran Beach is one of the well developing parts in Maharashtra and it has plenty of industries. The main occupation of the locals of Uran Beach is fishing but currently it has moved ahead into an industrial region.

Location of Uran Beach
Uran Beach in the state of Maharashtra is situated in the Navi Mumbai region in Raigarh district. The coastal town of Uran is situated at the eastern part of Mumbai across the Thane stream near Panvel and Karjat village of Maharashtra.

Attractions near Uran Beach
The Uran Beach in itself is a popular tourist spot and there are a number of other attractions. Places like the Ratneshwari temple and Shri Dutta Mandir are visited by tourists and are one of the famous places of attraction of Uran Beach. Annually, there is a very big fair arranged in the Ratneshwari temple which attracts the visitors from different places. Another beach called the Pirwadi beach is also regularly visited by the locals and tourists in weekends.

Other than these, there is another beach near the Uran Beach which is called the Mankeshwar beach. It is known for the temple of Mankeshwar which is dedicated to Lord Shiva or Mahadeva. The Naval Base in Uran is situated in Mora Gaon town which is near to Uran Beach. The local people believes that the development of the village is hampered due to the naval base situated in Uran which controls the sea journey in the western part of India mainly Mumbai and Gujarat.

Visiting Information of Uran Beach
The Uran Beach can be accessed easily and is connected by roadways, railways and airways as well. Uran Beach is easily accessible from the nearest airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which is about 57 km away. Hamarapur is the nearest railway station to Uran Beach. It is situated at about 16 km from Panvel in Raigad district. There are several trains connecting Uran Beach to the other cities.
